What am I getting with a subscription?
Letters packed with 80’s nostalgia, collectable trading cards, stickers, postcards, and a secret word that unlocks bonus material.
When do I receive my first letter?
The middle of December 2026, just in time for Christmas. So for me to get the letters out in time, there is a deadline to sign-up for a subscription. And once the deadline has passed, you’ll have missed your opportunity for a truly unique Christmas gift. The deadline is December 6, 2026. So don’t delay. Sign-up today!
Is there a chance I could miss out this year?
Yes. Besides the December 6, 2026 deadline to purchase a subscription, there are limited spots. I put a cap on the number of people that can sign-up for this run, this year. I wanted to be a learner for the inaugural run of That’s Rad. My hope is to get some customers that will give some feedback (reviews) and constructive criticism of their experience for the next run, if there’s demand for another.
So, if you sign up, you are on the ground floor of something special and for shaping what’s to come in the future. I won’t be signing up new customers after the deadline and/or if all spots are taken. The amount of interest and feedback will dictate when another run may happen. So don’t delay. Sign-up today!
Is this subscription ongoing?
No. Many subscriptions are ongoing and you keep getting billed every month or year without noticing. Not with That’s Rad Pen Pals.
Like a superstar freshman athlete, it’s one year and done. One letter every month for twelve months. One year in the 80’s and then you’re back to the future. We are starting in December of this year and ending in November 2027.
Where do you ship?
I am only sending letters through the postal service. Since I live in Canada, right on the border of the USA, I can easily get stamps for these two countries. So letters will just be shipped to Canada and the USA only.
Sorry, eh, to all my friends around the globe in other nations. But if you live in other nations you can certainly gift a subscription to a friend or family member living in Canada or USA.
What are the letters like? Who are you writing to?
I’ll answer these questions by first asking questions. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go back to when you were a kid with the knowledge that you have now? How would you use that knowledge? This is the line of thinking in the creation of That’s Rad letters. It’s a story in which I find a way to communicate through time and space to myself as a child in all the letters I write. You know, just like in any great 80’s time travel movie. And you get to come along for the ride… back in time.
That said, each chapter of the story, each letter, is topical. I touch on all the important stuff to a kid in the 80’s.
